Welcome to Las Vegas Gastroenterology
Las Vegas Gastroenterology (LVG) provides expert gastroenterology services for people aged 18 and older at its office locations in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada.
Serving the Southern Nevada community since 2009, LVG has been a promoter of colorectal cancer screening, ensuring the prevention of cancers of the colon and rectum, as well as its early detection, when treatment is much easier.
Led by board-certified, Mayo Clinic-trained gastroenterologist Noel Fajardo, MD, and Harvard Medical School-trained gastroenterologist Filippo Cremonini, MD, the specialist team uses advanced tools and techniques for diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal problems. The specialist team has also published over 300 scientific papers in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology, adding to the wide array of expertise the specialists are able to diagnose, treat, and manage.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as of 2016, 61.5% of age-eligible residents of Nevada had a recent colorectal cancer screening test. Nevada ranked 43rd among all 50 states and was significantly below the national average. LVG is striving to improve the rate at which age-eligible residents in Nevada receive their colorectal cancer screening tests. Depending on individual circumstances, many age-eligible residents in Nevada can receive a colonoscopy, the gold standard of colorectal cancer screening, at no cost to them.
Some of the conditions the team at LVG specializes in are acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), constipation, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, gastroparesis, celiac disease, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
The team has more experience diagnosing and treating esophageal disorders, like acid reflux, heartburn, dysphagia or difficulty swallowing, esophagitis, and indigestion, than any other gastroenterology practice in the area. LVG also has a gastrointestinal (GI) motility clinic and viral hepatitis clinic.
To assist in providing patients with an accurate diagnosis to explain their symptoms, the gastroenterology team performs many advanced diagnostic procedures, including colonoscopy, endoscopy, small bowel capsule endoscopy, Smartpill™ motility test, and hydrogen breath test.
