LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Las Vegas Gastroenterology played host to Martin Nievera’s “Martin at the Mandarin” on the Las Vegas strip. Nievera shared the stage with his sister Vicky in an intimate get-together attended by the “who’s who” of the Las Vegas valley.
“I hope whatever we do tonight will be able to help rebuild the lives of the people affected by the typhoon. This is our own little way of saying we are here to help… I’m very confident that ABS-CBN Foundation will be able to handle the funds raised this evening,” said Noel Fajardo of the Las Vegas Gastroenterology.
Nonito Donaire, along with the entire Donaire Family, was also in attendance.
Donaire’s signed gloves auctioned for a whopping $8,500.
“Nonito Donaire’s gloves for $8,500 plus six tickets to his next fight in Las Vegas,” said Gloria Caoili.
Nievera said that although some kababayans are uncertain about where their donations go to, he assured everyone that with the ABS-CBN Foundation, all their hard earned donations are in good hands.
“Sagip Kapamilya and the ABS-CBN Foundation and I put my name on the line because I tell everybody it’s the most reliable place to send your money. I’ve seen it myself and I won’t touch any fund raiser that I’m not sure will get to the needy,” he said.
Nievera also thanked the Las Vegas Gastroenterology for hosting the event.
“Dito naman sa Las Vegas, thanks to Dr. Fajardo for his generous, generous heart,” he said.
Nievera is scheduled for another series of concerts in the east coast this week.
